Does this Paraphrasing remind anyone of Jimmy Carter?
Robert G asked:
At times, Mr. Obama struck a professorial note, lecturing Americans to stop smoking — without referencing his own battles to break the habit — and to seek mammograms and colon-cancer screening. Health care reform, he said, means going for a run, going to the gym, and staying away from video games. It also, he said, means laying off junk food.
Can Your Acne Stem from Colon Health?
Kevin Agrawal asked:
The first step to clearing acne is to understand the underlying reasons for acne eruptions. There are several scientifically-based possibilities for the root reasons for acne. Some theories state that acne is due to hormonal changes since it is more prevalent during puberty or adolescent stage. Hormones could likely trigger the onset of acne, but other reasons can also be factored in. A poor diet, sedentary life (lack of exercise), lack of sleep, stress and even poor colon health.
Colon health is related to poor digestive health. This is usually the result of a poor diet loaded with carbohydrates, fats and sugars and not enough protein and fiber. Poor digestive health can lead to an accumulation of toxins in the body, bloating, abdominal discomfort, weight gain and skin troubles.
There are many misleading myths about acne as well. A common myth that people tend to easily believe is that acne can result from poor personal hygiene. It is important to keep your face clean but personal hygiene is usually not the underlying reason for acne. In fact, no one really knows the reason why some people suffer from acne while others do not. It may be a combination of possibilities and varies from individual to individual.
Though acne may have diverse underlying reasons, there are common steps you can take to relieve yourself of acne. Most people simply revert to commercial anti-acne products that contain strong chemicals. These may make your acne go away, but acne is likely to erupt again at a later stage, as has been the experience of many people using such products.
Here are a few tips which will help you deal with acne at a topical and internal level.
Avoid washing your face more than twice a day. Too much washing may actually aggravate the skin. Instead of using ordinary soap which has strong chemicals and leaves a soap film, use an aloe vera facial scrub. Aloe vera is a traditional herb known to have antiseptic and moisturizing properties. Avoid too much exposure to the sun. A little sun acts as a disinfectant, but too much sun can lead to sunburn. Sunburn can damage the skin and may result in red acne marks making acne worse. Eat right. In today’s society, this cannot be emphasized enough. Eat more fruits and vegetables every day. Try to include at least 2 cups of green leafy vegetables every week in your diet. Greens help to flush out toxins from the body and actually act as internal scrubbers. Drink at least 8 eight oz. glasses of water every day. Avoid too much sugar, smoking and drink alcohol only moderately. Exercise. Get the blood flowing into every nook and corner of the body! Use any form of exercise that is comfortable and fun for you, but do it regularly and consistently. You’ll notice a change in your skin health. You’ll also sleep better and your metabolism will function normally.
Lack of exercise can lead to poor circulation. Poor circulation means that the skin does not get enough nutrients to function well. Get enough rest. Our bodies detoxify in the night. The night is the time the body uses to focus on the work of restoring and re-furbishing the body, when all other bodily functions take a backseat.
Research shows a good night’s sleep is more important than we realize. Not getting enough sleep can disturb the metabolism and can even lead to a constant state of fatigue and lead to higher stress levels. Stress is another possibility for acne erupting, especially among adults. Ever wonder how adults get acne? This could be one of the reasons.
Not getting a good night’s sleep can also disrupt the body’s regulation of hormone levels, another likely factor for acne breaking out. Use a good herbal colon cleanser. Cleansing the colon can set your body ‘back on track’–sometimes resulting in restful sleep, higher energy levels, stronger metabolism, and less aches and pains. The body is in “balance” and it could results in better skin health and complexion. Colon cleansers help to tone the digestive system, promoting regularity and regular elimination. Colon cleansing has been associated with less restlessness, less irritability, more efficient digestion, better ability to cope with stress and a restful night’s sleep.
Scientific-Based Colon Cleanse Formula
There are scientifically-based herbal colon cleansers. These are the ones I would recommend. All the ingredients may be herbal and / or natural nutrients, but they should have credible scientific backing. This means that they should have sufficient research data that indicates their effectiveness and safety for supporting colon health.
An herbal colon cleanser, like BeneCleanse, is a three step process to colon cleansing beginning with the elimination of accumulated waste and toxins from the system. The third step is nutritional support through multivitamins, minerals, fiber and alginates (Alginic acid) for supporting digestion and regularity. Most people experience feeling much lighter after an effective colon cleanse. There is a general feeling of well-being leading to better health on various fronts. Regular colon cleanse users have also noted a reduction in their acne.
A carefully formulated colon cleanse product goes a long way in helping to tone the digestive system and can result in healthier skin and complexion!

How likely is it that a bladder fistula is cancerous? Should I worry?
Cute asked:
I had never even heard of one and had no sense of urgency when I started showing symptoms. Embarrassing… but for other women who should know to contact the Dr…passing air when urinating is Dr warranted. I finally called the Dr thinking it just isn’t normal and she skipped the office visit and set an appt. with a urologist. I don’t have Crohn’s disease and I haven’t had any recent surgeries. Just by process of elimination I’ve really narrowed down the possible reasons. Ovarian, Uterine, and colon cancers run in my family. Is it a pretty high chance that it is cancer? Should I pack my bags for the next life or is it pretty common and easily taken care of? Is surgery the next step?
I am waiting to see a urologist. So, I am going to see a Dr. My mind is just going nuts and thought maybe someone had some knowledge while I wait.

Colon Health is a Matter of Life and Death
Paul Rodgers asked:
Colon health is a topic of lasting human interest and has been since antiquity. Colon health is a matter of life and death, but it is one of the most neglected areas of the body. It is not something most people pay no attention to, especially if none of their family members have suffered colon problems. Colon health is basically helping the healthy bacteria far outnumber the harmful bugs, and thats what you can do for colon health. How can a colon weighing 30 pounds (as many autopsy’s find), be healthy. Colon therapists suggest that the typical American diet, which is low in fiber and high in red meat and other fatty foods, is a major contributor to this problem.
Health
The importance of “regularity” to overall health has been greatly overestimated for thousands of years. Careful observations have shown that the bowel habits of healthy individuals can vary greatly. Thus, many illnesses can be caused by an unhealthy colon or can be prevented by maintaining a healthy colon. Incorporating the practice of annual cleansing and detoxification will not only help regain, but also maintain your health so that your later years are productive and joyful.
Cleansing
How do you know if you or your family needs cleansing and detoxification. The answer is : Everyone needs cleansing and detoxification at least once a year. Cleansing the digestive tract helps to assure that the body is digesting and absorbing the necessary amounts of nutrients for repairing and restoring proper tissue functions, tissue healing, and maintaining a healthy body in general. Cleansing the colon helps bring the acid-alkaline ratio back into balance, allowing friendly bacteria to thrive, while inhibiting disease-causing organisms.
Detoxification
As opposed to fasting, detoxification diets can be undertaken for extended periods. Detoxification is the process of eliminating or neutralizing toxins from thebody. The major detoxification therapy categoriesare: fasting, specific diets, vitamin therapy, colon therapy, chelation therapy, and hyperthermia. Some detoxification methods are potentially dangerous, with side effects ranging from dehydration to bowel perforation. Unsupervised detoxification should not be tried by anyone who is underweight, pregnant, recovering from substance abuse, nor by those suffering from diabetes mellitus, thyroid problems, or an eating disorder.
Herbal Colon Therapy
Today some alternative practitioners continue to use colonic irrigation as part of a basic detoxification program, though many prefer to recommend herbal laxatives in supplement form. Herbal colon therapy is the cornerstone of much of our treatment for bowel conditions in the same way that endonasal therapy is the cornerstone for the treatment of ear, nose and throat diseases. To the uninitiated it might seem that the most obvious reason for the herbal colonic treatment would be for correcting constipation. Although used for constipation, herbal colonic therapy is much more specific in mucous colitis, diverticulosis, various forms of idiopathic diarrheas and other conditions in which the bowel is irritated or overly sensitive. Natural colon cleansing involves taking a balanced diet and additionally, a few herbal supplements that help kill the harmful bacteria and in removing excess of toxins.
Fiber
Fiber provides no nutrients to the body, but it does promote good health because it is very absorbent. Fiber adds roughage to the diet, and so Psyllium plays an important role in digestion and elimination, and can promote regularity and colon health. Ordinary constipation usually can be remedied by increasing the fiber content of the diet, drinking adequate amounts of water, and engaging in regular exercise.
Conclusion
The conclusion is that our health depends on the health of the colon. Therapists have come to the conclusion that colon therapy is not mysterious, is a useful adjunct to detoxification in a variety of illnesses in which the accumulation of toxins plays a major or contributory role to a person’s ill health; therefore, washing the lining of the bowel is just as sensible as maintaining cleanliness in other parts of ourselves and, in the modern living environment, there is a tendency for the accumulation of toxins, increased constipation, increased concentration of the residue in the bowel because of a shortage of roughage in the diet; thus cleaning and irrigation is an advantage.

Just How Important is Colon Health?
James Briggs asked:
Nowadays, “colon health” has become a major topic of concern. Information on colon can be found on nearly every health website, as well as important information on how to be certain that your colon is in good condition.
If you visit your local health store you are sure to find a section of supplements and other kinds of over-the-counter products focused entirely on “colon health”.
There are products for “colon health” available at the local health store, which are available with the supplements or as an over-the-counter product.
Just how important is colon health? My attention was grabbed by it! So I made it my personal mission to learn all that I could about “colon health”, since the media seemed to believe it was very important. In researching “colon health” I found many new and interesting facts in which I will share here.
What exactly is the Colon?
To begin with, it was important that I understand what the colon is. Of course I’ve always known that the colon is the large intestine. I am also aware of the fact that the large intestine forms part of the digestive system. Personally, with all the hype on colon, I thought that there must be much more to it. What I found was astonishing. In fact, the colon can’t be simply labeled as just another part of the body. This part of our body plays many important roles in our health, and is roughly six feet in length.
I discovered some very interesting facts:
1) The colon has the most essential function in proper removal of waste from the body.
2) Bacterium of all different types can be found in the colon, all of which help move waste around the body properly. This was most interesting to me since most people consider bacteria undesirable but for optimal health a certain level is not only beneficial but is essential.
3) I discovered that the colon removes the liquids from the matters moving through the digestive tract, thus making them easier to destroy.
4) I also discovered that built up waste can cause a host of other problems. Did you know that a build up of waste could cause weight gain or nausea?
Frequent Problems of the Colon Knowing this, made me decide to look more into the “problems” of the colon. I wanted to know exactly what could go wrong since I certainly didn’t want to experience weight gain or sickness, myself, because of a “colon problem”.
After doing some research, I found some symptoms that might indicate poor colon health. Now that I’ve done my research I can rest easy, so for your sake I have listed below details of a few symptoms of possible colon problems.
- When it comes to colon health, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases such as ulcerative colitis and even Crohn’s disease can indicate severe problems in the large intestines. In case you have some of these diseases, you can feel discomfort, experience bleeding and possibly acute diarrhea.
- Diverticulitis, also associated with colon complications is a condition in which little sacs or pouches are formed on the colon. In such a case, it is common for foods to get stuck. These pouches sometimes swell and many people with Diverticulitis complain of pain.
- There are many other problems with the colon that one can be subject to. Hemorrhoids, growths, and anal fissures are included in these.
Wrapping up In conclusion, I feel that I am more informed when it comes to the health and function of the colon, and as a result, I believe I understand the importance in discussing and understanding the colon and colon health.
The colon’s function is to make sure that everything you eat is digested and transported properly throughout your body. In the event that the movement or digestion does not occur in a proper manner then you could notice that your weight increased and even that you have become sick.
So finally, you can see that the health of your colon is a very important matter. It is necessary to begin with the colon to reach optimal health.
