My mom almost died of colon cancer, both my grandmas had cancer and died. my dad's mom died of brain cancer, but she had breast cancer first. my mom's mom died of colon cancer too. my dad has the liver thingy you get from smoking too much. i have been getting sick alot, my breasts have been discharging and getting very tender. i dont have my period yet. my neck feels very stiff and tender too. my lower right abdomen has been hurting today alot and feels like a knife is cutting into it. I felt really tired the last two days even though i got 10-12 hours sleep both days. I have been kind of dizzy today too. I am just getting over a cold, so I don't think I am catching a cold. I have been getting vaginal discharges every day too in a greenish and sometimes yellowish color. Two times before like a month ago i passed out as well. My heart was beating really fast and I was kind of cold and numb last night too even though I was physically sweating. I'm in foster care because my real parents abused me, and im usually kind of a klutz, so my foster parents and social workers and such arent taking me seriously. WHAT DO I DO?! I AM REALLY SCARED BECAUSE THESE WERE THE SAME SYMPTOMS MY MOM AND GRANDMA SUFFERED! HELP!!!!!! D**:

My father has colon cancer which has spread to his liver, prostate, lungs, lymphnodes and other organs. His colon is taken up by one big tumor which has now caused him to have an iliostomy and his liver is consumed with many small tumors. It is very advanced, he just turned 78...the doctors gave him 3 months to live. Is chemo worth it?? Right now we are telling him he shouldn't do it. I have taken care of 2 uncles and 2 grandfathers that had less cancer and were younger. Chemo didn't work and it only made them miserable. What do you think?

Well, the thing is like this, a lot of people from my mother's side of the family has died from cancer, but thank God my mother doesn't have it nor my brother. I would like to know if I am still at risk to get it. Maybe simple test I could get done to be sure I am healthy (Like a blood test) There has been more than two persons with the same type of cancer that killed members of my family (Like brain cancer,lung and colon) I even heard about a virtual colon cancer test (is that even possible? :0) Maybe anybody who had or has cancer could help me knowing a better way to take care of myself, a better diet. My dad had a surgery one year ago.It was a colon surgery and part of colon was removed.But it's not a permanent bag.So now his stool and gases pass to a colostomy bag.last week we met our doctor and asked him for the colostomy bag.At that time he told us, it's time to remove his colostomy bag.So we gonna remove the bag.Specially I have to mention something here with this.when my father faced for the first operation,doctor did a mistake.so my father had to face for 2 surgery.at that time father was I.C.U for 3 weeks and my father's situation was really bad.but fortunately he was recovered.
Now he is gonna remove the colostomy bag.So I wanna get more information about the surgery.How long does it take for this surgery and what's it like? is it serious operation or not?? what kind of things should we care about this surgery? and so far information I need this time..please be kindly enough to answer me as soon as possible...and make sure don't get this as a joke..

By then, the cancer had spread to my sister's colon, lungs, liver, and brain. And now, after my sister has taken all of the last resort chemo therapy, her doctors are telling her that they can do nothing more for her-- other than experimental procedures that Medicare and the VA will not cover..

Is this health care in the USA as the Republicans would have it? Or is this another reason why health care reforms are needed in the USA?

My Mom is dying. She has colon/rectal and breast cancer. We brought her to Jackson, MS to get lifesaving treatment. We have been staying in a hotel for 2 months for her to get followup treatment and are running out of money for a room. Does anyone know of a hotel chain that gives free rooms to cancer patients who are receiving care away from home. Please help me because if we leave from here, she will not get the treatmen she needs. Thanks.
