I had never even heard of one and had no sense of urgency when I started showing symptoms. Embarrassing… but for other women who should know to contact the Dr…passing air when urinating is Dr warranted. I finally called the Dr thinking it just isn’t normal and she skipped the office visit and set an appt. with a urologist. I don’t have Crohn’s disease and I haven’t had any recent surgeries. Just by process of elimination I’ve really narrowed down the possible reasons. Ovarian, Uterine, and colon cancers run in my family. Is it a pretty high chance that it is cancer? Should I pack my bags for the next life or is it pretty common and easily taken care of? Is surgery the next step?
I am waiting to see a urologist. So, I am going to see a Dr. My mind is just going nuts and thought maybe someone had some knowledge while I wait.

My husband, he at the time was 28, had a colonoscopy, and they found benign polyps in his colon. This was about a year and a half ago. He had weird symptoms…now the symptoms are back, worse…he went to his primary care doctor…which, he got his blood taken…..would his liver enzymes be elevated due to more polyps? He didn’t inform the doctor of the colonoscopy….which he is calling them right now to tell them. But, I would like some of your opinions..thanks!

I have a friend in West Haven Ct., and I live in Texas. She was diagnosed last year with breast cancer, and had to have a total masectomy. Then after that, her husband left her. She moved in with her Mom, and then her Mother developed Altzymers. Now Yvonne has her to care for, and tries to take care of herself as well. She financially does not have much, so I once in a while will help her with something she needs. Now, last night she called me crying sayting the doctors found a tumor in he colon. She is pretty sure that the cancer has spread. Can I ask anyone out there to pray for her. Im asking all my friends, and I thought it wont hurt if I ask you out there as well! Any advice for her or suggestions?

She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer July 30. She has had surgery to give her a colostomy which was necessary to save her life temporary for a few more months. Mom is 79 yrs old and is so tiny weighing in at 79 lbs. She is now at home under hospice care where she is very happy instead of being at the hospital. The hospice nurse shows once/twice a week for the moment until she worsens then the visits will get more frequent. Mom was getting so strong lately and eating well and visiting with guests.. now she has a new symptom. Her tiny little feet and ankles are swelling up like little baloons. You can leave an finger indentation in them when you push on them.

What is causing the swelling I know its more than likely Edema or acities but is there really a difference between the two of them?

Does this means her kidneys are failing? Yesterday she is drinking better than the day before but urinates only once to maybe twice a day.
Is there anyone out there that has or had a loved one or friend with stage 4 and did they begin to have swelling at the feet and ankles as a beginning symptom of declining in health towards the end? I have heard that many patients begin to feel better before they begin to decline. She has felt really great the past week and a half now her feet are swelling and its completely new to us and her. What shoul we as her children expect next swellling anywhere else, loss of appetite, onger sleeping patterns, ore naps what anything will help. We are all so scared that this may be the beginning of the end for mom. If there is anything we can do to make her feel more comfortable please let us know. do i have colon cancer?
I’m 18, almost 19, and have been through a lot in my life. i don’t have a family my mum died, my dad turned abusive and have been in care. there’s been other stuff which i don’t want to mention as well.
I was dignosed as depressed about a year ago, but luckly I’m over that and imediately stopped taking the anti depressants as i felt they made me feel more miserable. However in the past couple of months i have had trouble going to the toilet but i put it down to the depression and stress even though i have been happy.
Recently i have suffered non stop micranes, extreme tiredness, basic signs of enemia and swelling of the stomach and often severe pain. theres also been some bleedin when passing a stool. this has occured over two months.
i confided in a friend who said the symtoms sounded like colon cancer, i don’t know if anyone in my family has suffered from this and is it only old people who suffer from this? could anyone please give me advise?
also, this sounds very embarassing but, when i have sex in a certain position i feel a sharp pain and uncomfort. could this be linked?
